There are plenty of reasons to grab a stein and put on your dirndl for Sugar Mountain Resort's 33rd Annual Oktoberfest! Take in the beautiful fall foliage and the cool, comfortable mountain temperatures during a weekend full of festival activities, food & drinks, and local crafts from 10am - 5pm each day. The festival will include:
Bavarian Cuisine like bratwurst & knockwurst made by Geier’s Sausage Kitchen, sauerkraut, strudel, and soft pretzels will be available starting at 11am both Saturday & Sunday. To help wash it down, a supply of Spaten beer will be flowing generously all day. If Bavarian cuisine isn’t your thing, don't fret; hamburgers, soda, kettle corn, and other festive foods will also be on hand!
Costume Contest: Guests who show up in full Bavarian flare or in another Oktoberfest-related costume can participate in the Oktoberfest Costume Contest on Saturday the 7th at 4pm. The winner will be determined by crowd response, and be sure to stick around for your prizes!
Chairlift Rides: Enjoy the area’s fall foliage while riding the Summit Express Chairlift to the top of Sugar Mountain. The chairlift operates from 10:00am - 5:00pm on both days of Oktoberfest. For more information please visit the Chairlift Rides page.
Kids Fun Center operates from 11am - 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Some of the activities include Fun Time inflatables, hay rides, corn hole, water balloon toss, and pumpkin bowling. Kids Fun Center admission (includes hayride): $20 - Hayride only: $5
